The health watchdog has found several improvements have been made at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home in Longford after a critical inspection earlier this year.
It found the 22 actions required since the last examination have been addressed.
In March, the Health Information and Quality Authority carried out an unannounced inspection of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home at Templemichael Glebe, which has more than 100 residents.
On that occasion, four moderate noncompliances were found, one major one and two substantial compliances.
However, in an announced inspection in August, the outcome was far more favourable.
Of the eight outcomes inspected, six were found to be compliant or substantially so, with just one moderate noncompliances.
The major adverse finding in March was one recently recruited staff member didn’t have Garda vetting in place, but in August, it was found that all staff have such clearance.
Overall, the inspector found the care was provided to a good standard by staff who knew the residents well and were respectful and dignified to them.
Relatives spoken to were complimentary of the care.
Hiqa also say the premises was homely, safe and suitably designed.
The watchdog also notes the centre has completed internal building renovations, which will increase the capacity to a total of 114 residents.
