There has been heartbreak for the local Rose of Tralee contestants from the Shannonside/Northern Sound region in the final selection for next week’s televised section of the competition.
It was confirmed this morning that none of the county roses from Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan or Monaghan had made it through to the final 32 who will meet Daithi O Se in the Dome next Monday and Tuesday night.
16 roses had been selected on Thursday night, and the second group of 16 were announced this morning, with disappointment for the county roses, as well as Newcastle Gateshead Rose – Laoise O’Shaughnessy from Ballintubber in Roscommon.
