Fine Gael is planning to extend the operating hours of 38 rural bus routes across 15 counties

Fine Gael is planning to extend the operating hours of 38 rural bus routes in a bid to address rural isolation.

The proposed extended service will be on existing routes while it is being piloted, and is planned for 15 counties which include Cavan, Monaghan, Longford and Westmeath.

The plan was developed in consultation with Local Link operators, which is overseen by the National Transport Authority.
