Gardaí in Longford have revealed that a drunk driver was detected during a Mandatory Impairment Testing checkpoint in the county on Monday afternoon.
The checkpoint was located at Mullologher outside Longford town on the N5 yesterday afternoon and is the third in a series of similar events held in the county over the past months.
The checkpoints involve a multi-agency approach with personnel from An Garda Siochana, Revenue, Customs, and the Road Safety Authority.

The drunk driver was detected around half past two on Monday afternoon.
