Center Parcs signs supply deal with Gas Networks

Center Parcs has signed a contract with Gas Networks Ireland to extend the natural gas network to its new holiday village at Newcastle Wood in Ballymahon.

The new pipeline will bring natural gas into Longford for the first time and will provide the €223-million facility will a source of fuel for the lifetime of the project.

Gas Networks Ireland is still determining where the gas-extension will come from.

Construction work is well under way on the holiday village, which is due to open in the summer of 2019, with 1,000 jobs.

Martin Dalby, the chief executive of Center Parcs, is delighted today’s deal has finally been agreed.
