Calls for the new Dublin-Clondra greenway to be marketed like Waterford

There are calls for the new Dublin-Clondra greenway to be marketed like the thriving one in Waterford is.

The Deise Greenway is a 46-kilometre between Waterford and Dungarvan that has proved hugely popular for cycling, walking and running recently.

At a Longford County Council meeting this week, Independent councillor Mark Casey called for the local authority to send a delegation to investigate how the Déise Greenway was so successfully marketed.

He wants the Royal Canal Greenway to be showcased in a similar manner when it opens soon.
