Bord na Móna is rejecting suggestions that the company hasn’t listened to the concerns of the community in Longford about the Derryadd wind farm.
Communications manager Pat Fitzgerald was speaking as the company published revised plans for their proposed wind farm, including four less turbines and a longer setback distance.
The revised plans also include proposals to increase the height of the turbines to 185m.
Planning permission for the 24 wind turbines is due to be submitted in June of this year.
Opponents to the wind farm say the revised plans do nothing to allay their concerns and have consistently accused Bord na Móna of failing to listen to the local community on this issue.
Yet Fitzgerald believes the company has engaged fully with residents.
