A television production company is sending out an SOS for host families in this region to feature in an RTE documentary.
Waka TV plan to follow two city based teenagers as they adapt to life in a town or village4 in this area over the course of two weeks.
The production company is looking for host famillies to take in the teens who will be aged between 13 and 16 and show them how different things are in rural Ireland.
The one-hour documentary called Raised by the Village is scheduled for a prime time slot and will be filmed in September.
Catherine O’Mahony, assistant producer with Waka TV says it should be an eye-opening fortnight for the youngsters.
