Teen released after questioning about hoax phone calls in Leitrim

A 16-year boy arrested in connection with alleged hoax phone calls made in Leitrim this month has been released without charge,

The teenager was arrested in Dublin on Monday afternoon, and brought to Carrick-on-Shannon Garda station for questioning after a number of supermarkets were the subject of hoax phone calls fro the 9th to the 13th of January.

The teenager, who was detained overnight at the station, was released without charge this morning and a file is being prepared for the DPP in the matter.
