A man and woman with addresses in Dublin are due to appear in court this morning after an alleged car hi-jacking incident in Sligo yesterday evening.
A man in his seventies was injured in the incident on Wine Street in Sligo shortly after seven pm.
The car was driven from Sligo and gardai from the Boyle area pursued the vehicle to Carrick on Shannon where it was abandoned near the bridge.

A man and woman fled the scene on foot but were apprehended a short distance away.
They were taken to Ballymote station overnight and are due to appear at Ballina court this morning.
