Leitrim man to receive bravery award after stopping fire at petrol station
15 people will be honoured for their bravery today. The National Bravery Awards were established in 1947 to recognise heroic acts by the State. Mark O’Hara from Leitrim will receive a bronze medal after his quick thinking prevented a petrol station from catching fire. He saved a woman’s life in the process.
