Kenny says new leader will bring new energy to Sinn Fein

Sligo/Leitrim Sinn Fein Deputy Martin Kenny says he believes the party will gain a new impetus under a new leader.

Deputy Kenny was speaking following the announcement by party leader Gerry Adams at the party’s Ard Fheis this weekend that he will be standing down in the early part of next year.

Martin Kenny says while Gerry Adams has done an excellent job over the past number of years, it is time to move Sinn Fein forward with the energy of a new leader.
