Head of healthcare group hopes more facilities will be developed in Leitrim

The head of a healthcare group who provide facilities to the HSE claims it is vital more services are provided in the Shannonside region.

A recent HIQA report was completed on the Mount Eslin facility in Mohill, which is due to open later this year, and will accommodate patients with autism, learning difficulties and brain injuries.

The two-storey building which is due to open later this year will be able accommodate up to six adults and is likely to employ up to 30 staff when fully operational.
