A seven-bedroom house in Rooskey was the subject of a bidding war at an online auction this week.
The house, which had a reserve price of €120,000, was eventually sold after 114 bids for twice its asking price at the BidX1 auction yesterday.
In total six domestic properties were sold at the BidX1 auction, which got under way early on Tuesday morning.
The largest interest was recorded in a seven-bedroom house in Rooskey, which was recorded as being 139 square metres and contains gardens, both at the front and rear.
The reserve was set at €120,000 but after 114 bids, the house was finally sold at €243,000.
A detached four-bedroom home in Ballinagare in Roscommon was sold after 35 bids for €85,000 after a reserve price of €50,000.
A 151 square-metre semi-detached four-bed home in Boyle sold for €79,000, while a home at Aughnacliffe in Longford, with a reserve of €50,000 sold for €82,000 after 33 bids.
A detached three-bed house, together with a detached two bedroom cottage, sold for €50,000, while a house in Edgeworthstown also sold for €52,000.
A number of Shannonside properties also failed to sell, while a commercial auction is also taking place this week.
