Groups who promote physical activity for older people in the Shannonside region have received grants of over €23,000.
The government confirmed over the weekend that several groups across the Shannonside region will receive funding through the Go for Life Grant Scheme
A total of 26 groups in Longford will share €7,650 while €8,890 will be divided among 31 groups in Leitrim.
22 Roscommon groups will receive a total of €6,700 to fund physical activity for older people.
