The death has taken place of former Shannonside farming presenter Seán Mulligan.
Seán produced and presented one of the first local radio agricultural programmes in the country when he and the late Frank Young took on the task in the early Nineties.
Both he and Frank worked with the farm advisory service Teagasc and the programme was well respected in the farming community.

Seán will be buried after funeral mass in Ballybay on next Thursday morning.
