Initially a group of 20 people from the “People’s Voice” and “Campaign Against Home and Water Taxes” turned up at the council to engage in what they describe as a peaceful protest but they were denied access by officials on the grounds of Health and Safety.
However a delegation of four were admitted with P.R.O. for the People’s Voice John McNamara amongst them.
After making attempts to disrupt the Council meeting by voicing his concerns, Mr McNamara was asked to leave the chamber, along with three other members. He refused and was subsequently removed by Gardai.
