A total of nineteen people in the Shannonside region have become Lotto millionaires since the game began in 1988.
Figures released to Shannonside FM show a total of 6 tickets with a value of over €1 million euro were sold in county Longford over the past 27 years.
County Leitrim has sold four such tickets in the same time frame, but the luckiest county in the Shannonside region for big lotto wins is county Roscommon where a total of nine tickets worth over a million euro have been sold since 1988.

Just one ticket worth over a million has been sold this year in the local counties.
It was sold in August at the Spar shop in Kinlough in county Leitrim.
