A Fine Gael Longford Westmeath Deputy says the Government will continue to spend millions on prefabs at schools in this region despite having slashed school budgets.
Deputy James Bannon says Fianna Fáil and the Greens have slashed school budgets by €2 billion in the reviewed Programme this week.
This represents a 40% cut in the budget and will mean alot of schools who are waiting for extensions upgraded will have to remain in prefab accommodation.
He said the amount spent on prefabs in County Longford alone was over 600,000 euro last year and the Government's priorities are all wrong.
